LONDON - National Geographic has launched a competition with South African Tourism offering the chance to win an adventure sports holiday to the country.

To win the prize entrants need to write a 250-word outline of why they think they should have the opportunity to become an 'Adventure Ambassador' for South Africa. The competition, which closes at the end of July, can be accessed through a .
 
The winner will take up bush walking, bungee jumping, canoeing, surfing and trekking during the 10-day trip. Afterwards they will have the opportunity describe their experiences online and address an audience at the National Geographic store in London.
 
The aim of the competition is to promote the large number of adventure sports available in South Africa. Marketing support will include ads in Metro, regional press titles and online.
