Naouri promoted to strategy role as Publicis moves on

LONDON - Jean-Yves Naouri, Publicis Groupe's regional chairman for Northern Europe, has been promoted to a new role heading strategic development, reporting directly to chief executive officer Maurice Levy.

Publicis said that Naouri's appointment comes following the successful integration of Bcom3, which it acquired in September 2002. The company is now looking at improving its professional performance, the quality of its services and optimising its organisation.

Naouri comes from the public relations side of Publicis, having created and developed Publicis Consultants and managed Publicis Conseil. In his new job he has been made an executive vice-president at the advertising group.

"Preparing the evolution of our business in a very competitive manner, responding to the needs of advertisers in a proactive way, making Publicis Groupe the best partner of our clients, with the best creative product, this is our ambition," Levy said.

Publicis owns the advertising agencies Saatchi & Saatchi, Leo Burnett and Publicis, as well as the media networks Starcom MediaVest and ZenithOptimedia.
