
A total of 20 emerging, unsigned artists and producers descended on the Roundhouse in north London for a day of mentoring by the famous duo.
Participants took to the Roundhouse's specially created Nando's studio, where they were tasked with creating their own tracks.
They were presented with a a mix of sounds by Example and Muzi that take their inspiration from the artists' home countries of South Africa and the UK, which could be repurposed into original works.
Nando's also promised that secret guests would be in attendance, with beatbox artist Reeps and Michael Omari aka Stormzy showing up to perform a little later in the day.
Nando’s Music Exchange has been established to uncover emerging artists from the company’s birthplace of South Africa, and blend their skills with local talent here in the UK.
To celebrate the launch of the new intiative, Nando's hosted an after party at its store in Hight Street Kensington, where the likes of Carly Wilford and DJ Yoda performed.
In addition to producing yesterday’s event, agency Frukt developed the broader Nando’s Music Exchange initiative and set up the partnership with the Roundhouse on behalf of the client.
