Daglish is taking over from Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO chief executive Ian Pearman, who is stepping down as Nabs chairman after two terms of three years.

In his new role, which starts at the end of the month, Daglish will be responsible for championing Nabs and helping to implement the charity’s refreshed vision of ‘putting people first’.

Daglish's appointment was revealed at this morning’s Nabs annual President’s breakfast. He will work closely with Nabs chief executive Diana Tickell and MediaCom chairwoman Karen Blackett, who was made Nabs president in March of this year.

A long-time advocate of Nabs, Daglish has acted as a ‘speed mentor’, trustee and a member of the ‘Stranger Than Summer’ organising committee.

He is also a supporter of the Walking with the Wounded charity, which raises funds for wounded service people.

Daglish said: "Nabs is more vital to our industry than ever before and it’s an honour to be part of the movement."

Nabs chief executive Diana Tickell credited outgoing chairman Pearman with helping significantly increase Nabs’ fundraising and engagement through his "thoughtful, astute and impassioned chairmanship".
