Energizer is launching the Energizer Intelligent with a
pan-European TV campaign from Mustoe Merriman Herring Levy.
The campaign, Mustoe Merriman’s first since winning the account last
December, focuses on the battery’s ability to deliver high performance
whatever it is used in.
Two TV spots will break in the UK this month and are backed by a
nationwide poster campaign. The ads will roll out across Energizer’s key
European markets including France, Germany and Spain.
Martin Burch, the European marketing director at Energizer, said: ’We
wanted to introduce a fresh and relevant approach.’
The first TV execution opens on a woodland scene where woodpeckers are
busy at work. One woodpecker is using an electric drill, allowing it to
get the job done quicker and conserve energy.
The second spot features a mole wearing a miner’s helmet and using a
jackhammer to tunnel his way up.
’This product deserves really special advertising,’ Martin Thurley, the
account director at Mustoe Merriman, said.
The campaign was co-written and art directed by Mary Sue Lawrence and
Rosie Elston and was illustrated and animated by Michael Sowa of AKA
Pizazz.
Media planning and buying is through Initiative Media.
