Mustoes debuts ads for Lloydspharmacy free health services

Lloydspharmacy, the national pharmacy chain, is launching a campaign to promote two services.

Mustoes has created two 30-second TV spots to raise awareness of its diabetes testing service and repeat prescription collection service.

The ads feature Philippa Forrester as the face of the Lloyds brand. In the "diabetes" spot, she appears in a variety of locations to highlight the symptoms of diabetes.

Forrester, in a style that tries to recreate the documentary feel of the BBC series The Human Body, is then shown receiving a free diabetes test at the pharmacy, pointing out that if the disease is detected early it is easier to treat.

The spot ends with the line: "Lloydspharmacy. Your local health authority."

The second spot, "no repeats", talks about Lloyds' repeat prescription service that enables customers to pick up a prescription direct from the pharmacy without having to go to the doctor first.

The diabetes spots will air first in Scotland, where the service launches first, before rolling out across the UK next year. The "no repeats" spot will run nationally from 15 September.

The ads were written by Mark Prime and art directed by Lee Hanson. They were directed by Peter Georgi, the director of The Human Body, through Rogue Films. Starcom Motive handled media planning and buying.
