LONDON - The Mushroom Bureau, the body responsible for promoting fresh cultivated mushrooms, is looking for an ad agency.

The brief, which is being handled by the AAR, is expected to be completed by the end of September.

This will be the first time that the bureau has produced an ad campaign, although it works with PR firm Mustard Communications.

Founded in 1993, it is funded voluntarily by its members who are predominantly mushroom growers and trade alliances to the industry in the UK, Ireland and continental Europe.

Stephen Allen, a committee member of the The Mushroom Bureau who handles marketing, said the campaign would aim to ‘increase the awareness of the benefits of mushrooms amongst new audiences'.
