MTV poaches Channel 5 Interactive boss

The interactive division of Channel 5 has lost its chief executive Paul Curtis, who is leaving to join Viacom's MTV network.

The interactive division of Channel 5 has lost its chief executive Paul Curtis, who is leaving to join Viacom's MTV network.

Curtis will take up a position at MTV as managing director of its Viacom brand solutions unit.

Curtis has 18 years' media sales experience, and his roles have included sales director at Yorkshire Television, sales controller at UK Gold, and deputy sales director at Channel 5.

He was with Channel 5 since its launch, and was responsible for its online and interactive sales strategy.
