MTV Base show The Lick celebrates fifth birthday

LONDON - 'The Lick', MTV Base's weekly hip hop and R&B show, is celebrating its fifth birthday with two parties for its viewers in the south and north of England over the Easter weekend.

'The Lick's annual party launched in London 1998 and has since been held in different locations around the UK and Ireland including Glasgow, Bournemouth, Cardiff, Hull, Brighton and Dublin.

This year's event, hosted by 'The Lick' presenter Trevor Nelson, will be held twice, the first in Leeds on May 4 at The Majestyk and then on May 5 at Equinox in London's Leicester Square.

'The Lick' is broadcast on hip hop and R&B music channel MTV Base on Wednesdays at 9pm.
