MSN, the Microsoft-owned internet portal, has signed a deal that will see the company's Hotmail e-mail service feature in the upcoming film of Bridget Jones's Diary. In the film, due for release on April 13, Bridget, played by Renee Zellweger, uses the Hotmail service to help her office romance with boss Daniel Cleaver, played by Hugh Grant. MSN is also extending the tie-up by hosting the official 'Bridget Jones's Diary' site, featuring a trailer, film-related content and links to the MSN Bridget community where fans can swap gossip. The site is being promoted via a competition encouraging visitors to write their own diary entry for a chance to win tickets to the premiere in New York.
