MSN has poached CNBC’s Jules Robinson to manage its sales team and
is preparing to increase its portfolio of online products.
Robinson was formerly head of business sales development at CNBC.
He will report to Dominic Trigg, ad sales director at MSN, and will work
alongside Jonathan Baron, MSN’s other sales team manager.
Once MSN increases its portfolio of online channels from 32 to 39, Trigg
said he would be likely to recruit one sales person a month to cope with
client demand.
He has already expanded his team of sales managers from ten to 13
staff.
Elinor Horseman joins from recruitment site Jobpilot, where she was key
accounts manager.
Sumeera Zafar has come on board from vnunet.com, where she was a senior
sales executive.
Cheryl East has been promoted to sales manager from consultant team
manager on recruitment.
The Microsoft network comprises MSN Search, the MSN portal, MSN Hotmail
and Expedia.
The team sells across the portfolio, offering banners, buttons,
sponsorships and specials, which are deals based around events such as
Mother’s Day, Christmas and major sporting events.
