MPG previously worked on the £2m media planning and buying for the Jean Paul Gaultier and Issey Miyake fragrances. But the addition of the Hermes, La Prairie, Bulgari, Nuxe and Paul Smith brands sees the agency take on another £3m worth of business.
Planning and buying for the five brands was previously handled by Carat. MPG will take over the account from January 2006 as part of Kenneth Green's goal to consolidate its brand portfolio into a single agency.
"We have been working with MPG in respect of Jean Paul Gaultier and Issey Miyake for some time," Kenneth Green, managing director of the company that shares his name, said.
"They are well focused on our special requirements and have consistently demonstrated strong partnership feelings. This move will improve the impact of our investment into the future."
MPG managing partner Marc Mendoza also commented on the news: "The luxury brand sector is one in which MPG has long-standing experience and expertise," he said. "We are delighted with this opportunity to work across the entire Kenneth Green portfolio. It is a real testament to the efforts and energy of the team here."
