Phil Smith will replace Mike Hughes as director general at ISBA. His post begins on 9 January 2017. Smith was previously marketing director at Kraft before taking on a number of tech start-up roles

Twitter's Adam Bain, who led the development of ad sales and rose to the position of chief operating officer, is leaving the company.

Bain will be replaced by chief financial officer Anthony Noto and will stay with the company for a few weeks to assist with the transition. The social media company is also searching for a new chief financial officer.

News UK has appointed chief customer officer Chris Duncan as managing director for The Times and The Sunday Times.

The company has also appointed David Robinson, previously the director of betting and gaming, as managing director of The Sun and The Sun on Sunday.

Giuseppe Caiazza has been named IPG Mediabrands & McCann Worldgroup chief executive officer, Italy. He will report into Pablo Walker, president, McCann Worldgroup, Europe, and Caroline Foster Kenny, CEO, IPG Mediabrands, EMEA, who joins the network in January 2017.

William Hill has appointed Robin Terrell, Tesco's former chief customer officer as a non-executive director. He starts his new role on will take up the role on 2 January 2017.

MRM Meteorite has promoted managing director Olly Foot and chief strategy officer Chris Whitson to joint chief executives as the agency proclaims a "new chapter" in its history.

Whitson will remain chief strategy officer, while Foot will take the additional role of chief commercial officer. They will both report to Nicky Bullard.

Tech start-up incubator and accelerator Founders Factory has hired Hannah Blake, MEC's director of open innovation.

She has been tasked with pairing up the company’s portfolio of start-ups with its corporate backers, which include Guardian Media Group, Aviva, L’Oréal and easyJet.

The Marketing Agencies Association has hired Andrew Reeves, ex-commercial director of M&C Saatchi and Andrew Marsden to work closely with the internal team at the MAA offering support across the more commercial elements of the trade body. He joins Graham Kemp, who has been appointed executive director.

The MAA has also welcomed Rania Robinson, managing director of creative agency Quiet Storm, to the board in the role of joint chair of diversity, alongside RPM’s founder and chief exec, Hugh Robertson.

MEC has hired Susie Burns (nee Dabbs) as head of content planning to work within its Wavemaker content division. Burns joins from Mediacom Beyond Advertising.

Elevate UK, the provider of short-term loan Sunny, has added four new members to its UK executive team. Lauren Darby joins as vice president of marketing, Karen Taylor as general counsel an director of HR, George Power as senior director for product development, and Steve Grice as chief technology officer.
