Welcome to ±±¾©Èü³µpk10's weekly round-up of the hires, departures and promotions across the industry.

Movers and shakers: Dentsu, FCB, Burberry, AB InBev, Vice Media, Direct Line, Leo Burnett and more

Stef Calcraft (pictured, above) has been named executive chairman of Dentsu Aegis Network UK & Ireland in what the ad group claimed is a "transformational appointment". Calcraft, a co-founder of creative agency Mother, is a surprise choice to run the UK & Ireland operation because he has worked chiefly in the independent sector and has relatively little experience of media, although he sat on the board of planning agency Naked Communications. He is effectively taking the place of Tracy De Groose, who stepped down as UK & Ireland chief executive earlier this month after three-and-a-half years. Calcraft will start in the newly-created role in January 2018 and Japanese-owned Dentsu Aegis Network will not fill De Groose’s old role.

Burberry president and chief creative officer Christopher Bailey is leaving the luxury fashion company at the end of next year. In a director/PDMR (person discharging managerial responsibilities) document Burberry filed with the London Stock Exchange, it was disclosed that Bailey will be cashing in his shares in Burberry for £16m. Bailey, who has been with Burberry for 17 years, was chief executive of the company from 2014 until last year, when Marco Gobbetti took the helm. Bailey retained creative control.

Budweiser and Stella Artois brewer AB InBev has appointed Tatiana Stadukhina as its new marketing director for the UK and Ireland. Stadukhina joined AB InBev in April 2014 as global innovation manager, becoming director of global innovations a year later and Stella Artois brand director for Europe in March this year – at which point she relocated from New York to London. Before joining the brewer she spent six years in marketing and brand roles at Unilever. Stadukhina replaces Nick Robinson, who left in July to join Kerry Foods as chief marketing officer.

Vice Media has hired Condé Nast's Lucy Delacherois-Day for the newly-created role of commercial director as the publisher brings together its brands and agencies into a specialist fashion and luxury group.

Claire Sadler joins Direct Line for Business as marketing director from BT where she held the position of group brand director, and was responsible for brand marketing and guardianship across the BT Group brands – BT, EE and Plusnet. At Direct Line for Business she will be responsible for all marketing activity and will oversee the next phase of the brand’s Winston Wolf advertising campaign, which showcases the company’s high performance insurance offering. She will also lead the marketing launches of the company’s new personalised SME propositions following the first launch into the hair and beauty sector.

FCB Inferno has announced two hires and an internal promotion. Senior creative and copywriter Guy Hobbs is the latest member of the creative team. In his new role, he will partner with senior art director, Ben Edwards. Hobbs joins the agency after a four-year stint at Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney. Tom Molyneux also joins the company as business director. He started his career at MullenLowe before moving to Grey as global account director, where he has managed Gillette for the past three years. In addition to these hires, Hollie Loxley has been promoted to managing partner from account director.

Socialyse, Havas Group’s social media solution, has announced that Philippe Torloting will be joining the agency as chief operating officer. He joins after 11 years at Publicis Groupe, where he was deputy general manager of Blue449

MediaCom North has appointed Kerry King as its new head of investment. King joins agency after 19 years at Dentsu Aegis Network (formerly MediaVest), where she most recently held the position as commercial development director within Amplifi.

Leo Burnett has hired McCann London’s Craig Neilson as its head of creative production and operations. Neilson, who occupied the role of head of project management at McCann, started at the agency at the end of October. He has previously worked at Adam&Eve/DDB where he was joint head of creative production and played a role in the merger of the two agencies. Before that he held roles at Bartle Bogle Hegarty and Mother.

Roast has appointed Ryan Foley as head of campaigns. He was previously senior strategist at iProspect.

Hornall Anderson UK has rebranded as OurCreative following a split earlier this year from Hornall Anderson USA. The agency has promoted former design director Jon Dignam to creative director.

Food and drink-focused content production company Delightful Media has appointed Robert Marsh as managing director. He previously ran media consultancy Robert & Friends.

BBC Creative, the BBC’s in-house agency, is growing its team in the north with four new creative hires who will be based at its office in Salford. Rachel Stacey and Wes Wood are joining as creative promotions directors working on campaigns across all of the BBC’s programmes and services on TV, radio, digital and online. They were previously at ITV Creative. Rachel Miles and Michael Tsim are starting as creatives focused on Sport, Children’s and Charities, after previously working at Ogilvy & Mather.

MOBKOI, the mobile marketing specialist for premium and luxury brands, has appointed Caroline Wilkinson as vice president of client partnerships, a newly created role. Wilkinson will be leaving her role as BBC Worldwide Regional Director (UK, Ireland and the Nordics), a publisher partner of MOBKOI’s. Starting from November 6, she will be responsible for developing and scaling growth, formulating client strategy and creating a new client management team. The move follows MOBKOI’s acquisition by global brandtech group, You & Mr Jones.
