Hopwood joined the agency in February as a freelance senior project manager on BT. He was previously with Deal Group Media, where he was the chief technology officer. He replaces Joe Eldridge, who has been promoted to chief operating officer for Agency.com Worldwide.
The agency has also boosted its client services team with seven new hirings.
Ivy Wong, Piero Poli and Katheryn Sutcliffe join as account directors.
Wong, who joins from Modem Media, will work on Dulux and John Lewis, while Poli, who joins after a spell as a freelance at Wheel, will work on Ladbrokes and Procter & Gamble. Sutcliffe, who will work on BT, joins from Glue.
Tim Corcoran, Claire Scanlan and Olivia Harris have been hired as senior account managers. Cierra LeClaire joins as an account manager from Goodby Silverstein & Partners in San Francisco.
