Snow sculptures have been built on top of cars at ski resorts to make people think twice about driving and to highlight how using cars for short journeys in the mountains is harming the environment.

Cars can burn up to four times more fuel in cold temperatures and high altitudes trap C02, which contaminates snow and threatens the health of animals and plants that live on the mountains.

The campaign is being promoted across social with the hashtag #untouchablecars.
