
The figures, released today, showed that, for the six-month period to the end of June 2008, Cosmo sold an average of 470,735, up 2.3% for the period, while Good Housekeeping lost 7.1% for the period, 1% year on year, to slip back to 430,930.
Glamour maintained its healthy leading position, adding 1.2% year on year to average 551,351.
Bauer Media's More! magazine was the big loser in the latest round of figures. The magazine has slumped to sales of just 162,544, a 38% drop year on year.
But the figures contained better news for Bauer's Yours title, which added 3.2% for the period to average 337,639 and rise above IPC's Woman & Home (336,888 - up 5% year on year) and Marie Claire (316,765 - down 4.8% year on year).
Across the sector, NatMags' Prima and Company magazines both fell, losing 5.8% and 9.2% year on year to record average circulation figures of 282,544 and 240,078 respectively.
Bauer's Grazia was steady for the period and added 3.2% year on year to reach 227,102.
Vogue managed to climb above Red, the Condé Nast fashion bible adding 0.5% year on year to record 221,090, while the Hachette Filipacchi title lost 1.9% year on year, hitting 220,804.
Hachette did have better news with its Psychologies Magazine, however, which continued its strong showing, adding 7.1% for the period and 15.4% year on year, to reach 150,112.
IPC's Instyle added 1.2% year on year to record an ABC of 180,879.
Media Week owner Haymarket's Eve magazine lost 7.8% for the period, down 5.1% year on year, to record circulation figures of 155,076.
NatMags' Harper's Bazaar and Condé Nast's Vanity Fair climbed 3.1% and 3% year on year, recording figures of 109,146 and 101,166 respectively. Condé Nast's Tatler, meanwhile, was steady year on year at 90,128.
Finally, IPC's Essentials magazine climbed 6.2% during the period, 0.2% year on year, to reach 100,214.
