The Notting Hill leg of Martin Miller’s Gin’s Champion Cocktail Competition is set for 7 October. It will see mixologists from the UK’s top bars create a signature cocktail using the gin brand.
Competitors will be required to create a beverage that best reflects their place of work and the region in which they hail from, and it must deliver ‘romance and adventure in a glass’.
The winner of the Notting Hill leg will go on to join those selected as part of The Square Mile, east London and Mayfair heats. Each finalist will take part in a UK-wide competition.
The brand’s co-founder, David Bromige, will host a masterclass, also on 7 October, coined ‘Water. The Silent Majority’ as part of London Cocktail Week.
It will explore how the brand’s Icelandic water source influences the taste and smoothness of the final product, and attendees will receive a complimentary gin and tonic beverage to sip on as they familiarise themselves with the spirit.
The masterclass will be held at Trailer Happiness, and it is free to attend for those with a London Cocktail Week wristband.
