MindShare fails to resolve Kellogg clash

MindShare and Cereal Partners appear to have reached an impasse over the comfortable accommodation of the £20 million Cereal Partners account and the Kellogg business at one agency.

MindShare was reappointed to Cereal Partners' arch-rival Kellogg's £60 million account last week (±±¾©Èü³µpk10, 16 September). The move led Cereal Partners' media manager, Stuart Cox, to contact ±±¾©Èü³µpk10 saying: "I would like to put on record that, as part of the Nestle UK and Ireland planning and buying agreement, MindShare confirmed that Kellogg would be relocated from MindShare and run separately in another part of Group M."

However, MindShare is still unable to confirm that it won't be handling the Kellogg account. Kellogg was one of MindShare's founding clients, joining the agency from JWT's in-house media department.

MindShare acquired the Cereal Partners business as part of the £62 million Nestle account it won at the end of 2004.

MindShare would not comment on the story.
