Made by RDF Media, which was also behind Channel 4's 'Faking it', Five's new holiday show gives viewers the chance to win all of the holidays featured in the show.
The series, which will also feature guest celebrities such as Caprice, Lisa Snowdon and Ben Fogle, aims to scour the globe for the best holidays around and road-test them.
With the world's best holidays identified, 'Great Escapes' will then give viewers the chance to win up to three holidays. Among the holiday themes the show will explore will be Jet Set, Gourmet, Latino and Shop & Flop.
Middlemiss said 'Great Escapes' and its five-star budgets was the perfect programme for her.
"I have always absolutely loved any chance to pack my suitcase and hop on a plane. When I was asked to be involved with 'Great Escapes', it was a perfect opportunity for me to see the world on a five-star budget," she said.
The six 30-minute episodes are to be produced by RDF Media, the independent production company behind 'Wife Swap' and 'Faking It'. The first show is due to air at 8.30pm on May 21.
