The promotion, booked by Interpublic media agency UM, will start on the Christian O'Connell Breakfast show on Wednesday 1 December. Listeners will have to wait for a particular Christmas song before calling in to win one of 24 prizes.
The prizes will include family computers, Xbox Kinect computer game consoles, TVs, toys, gadgets and special family Christmas hampers as well as copies of Microsoft Office 2010.
The on-air trails will direct listeners to a fully integrated branded microsite at www.absoluteradio.co.uk, which will be live from 22 November to 24 December and will reflect all on-air messaging.
The 'Absolute Radio Advent Calendar' is the second part of a two-part deal with Microsoft which started with a bespoke promotion giving away prizes for children during the summer holidays on the Geoff Lloyd Hometime Show.
Microsoft is a significant radio advertiser and current activity for its brands includes the Window 7 operating system’s headline sponsorship of Global Radio's 95.8 Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball, as part of a wider deal with Global.
Earlier this week Absolute Radio won the award for the Radio Sales Team of the Year at the ±±¾©Èü³µpk10 Media Awards.
