The collectable, 'Metal Hammer Presents: Ozzfest', will be published next month to coincide with the heavy metal festival tour organized by the Osbourne family, called Ozzfest, set up 14 years ago.

The tour is returning to British shores this year, at London's 02 Arena, for the first time since 2002. In celebration, the special edition of Metal Hammer will bundle a themed magazine in an 'OzzPack’ at the retail price of £7.99, which will include an Ozzfest 2010 pin badge and an Ozzy Osbourne 'Scream' mousemat.

Metal Hammer editor Alexander Milas, who as a moonlighting DJ has recently supported Ozzy Osbourne sets at three club shows, said: "Aside from Ozzy being the most iconic frontman of the genre of heavy metal, he is its biggest personality. With one of the biggest heavy metal festivals, Ozzfest, returning to the UK, those who have felt a little left out from not having the festival for a few years are greatly anticipating it."

The 132-page magazine features a complete history of the festival, which began in 1996 in Arizone and California, and a 17-page interview with Ozzy about his life, career and latest album, Scream.

Chris Ingham, group publisher for Future's Classic Rock and Metal Hammer brands, said: "We couldn't think of any better way to honour the man and the festival than issuing this unique collector's edition, OzzPack".

The partnership with Sharon Osbourne Management continues the expansion of Future's rock music brands.

Earlier this year sister-title and Roadrunner Records to exclusively distribute his solo debut album across the UK a month before conventional release.

  • Also this week, Metal Hammer found itself referenced in an unusual publication. Mike Weatherley, Conservative MP for Hove, that his favourite read was Metal Hammer and, when asked what his favourite music was, replied:  "Heavy metal. From Iron Maiden to Bullet For My Valentine."
