- After the success of its St Patrick's Day tie-up with Guinness, Megastar -- the online version of Express Newspapers' Daily Star -- has announced another exclusive advertising tie-up, this time with Lara Croft, the star of the Tomb Raider games.
Megastar is to be the exclusive launch platform for the official Lara Croft website. The virtual babe, who has won as many column inches and TV appearances as many real stars, will launch her site on 6 April. For the first week, the only access to the site will be through Megastar, located at www.megastar.co.uk.
Megastar already works closely with Tomb Raider publisher Eidos Interactive, which was one of the first advertisers on the Megastar Website when it launched in the autumn of last year.
Nick Davies, internet manager at Eidos, said: "The ultimate 90s virtual babe has finally been given her own home on the web and after a number of successful campaigns with Megastar, it's obvious there's no better place to launch Lara's site."
