Meet the directors: Top tips from Seb Edwards on finding your voice

Seb Edwards kicks off ±±¾©Èü³µpk10's video series about the UK's top directors.

Seb Edwards was a shy eight-year-old when he was street-cast for the starring role in the 1987 film Hope and Glory. That early experience in film planted a seed and today Edwards is one of the most in-demand directors working in UK advertising.

For ±±¾©Èü³µpk10’s new video series profiling directors, Edwards takes a turn in front of the camera to talk about the creative process behind his top ads, including Virgin Media, Lacoste and last year’s John Lewis Christmas campaign starring Elton John.

Edwards' most important advice for other directors and creatives is to "believe in what you’re making".

"Passion’s really important because it’s very infectious," he says. "Passion is an incredible fuel that not only fuels you but everyone around you."

Edwards is in the process of developing a feature film, so expect more great things from one of the UK's top directing talents.
