
Judging at this year's Media Week Awards is being led by co-chairs Ali MacCallum, chief executive of M2M, and Anna Watkins, managing director of Guardian Labs.
Arif Durrani, editor of Media Week, said: "Always evolving and always highly competitive, this year's Media Week Awards shortlist underlines just how exciting today's British media scene has become.
"Many new names join the more established players, and a host of new categories ensure we have fully recognised the industry shift towards data, branded content and strategic creativity. However, the fundamentals around what makes for great, effective media campaigns remain.
"Well done to everyone who made the shortlist, with more than 500 entries that's no mean feat in itself. Here's looking forward to another challenging and rewarding contest."
The winners of this year's awards will now be decided during four separate days of judging involving more than 70 leaders, including the main industry day hosted this year by Trinity Mirror.
This year's Media Week Awards will be held in the Grosvenor House on 22 October.
