Samuel Bevan has led Snapchat's growth and new business team across the EMEA region for the past six years, having built the team from scratch. There are now more than 80 employees, supporting 16+ markets. His priority focus for the team is scaling and activating new verticals in Snapchat’s core markets, as well as opening up new markets across EMEA.
This has helped Snapchat to significantly grow its international revenue and build and scale hundreds of businesses around the world. Bevan’s ambitions over the long term include becoming a leader and ally to help the tech industry continue to tackle issues surrounding diversity and inclusion, ensuring that large platforms are built for the masses and not the select few. He also believes the media industry should be made more accessible to small- and medium-sized enterprises.
Bevan is also an ambassador for the British Dyslexia Association, an NGO tackling the issue that people with dyslexia are five times more likely to be unemployed.
Judges said that despite being so young, Bevan has set up a successful division, one that delivers results for its clients as well as the business.
