Media News: Teen titles face sex advice ban
Publishers of magazines for teen girls are fighting legal proposals in Scotland that could make it an offence for editors to offer sex advice. The battle is being led by the Teenage Magazine Arbitration Panel (TMAP), set up in the 90s to counter threats from politicians to put minimum reader ages on covers. The laws aim to protect children from predatory behaviour by adults. But they could make agony aunt columns illegal, says TMAP.
