Media News: LBC runs ads for breakfast show

Talk radio station LBC 97.3FM is stoking the battle for London breakfast listeners by advertising on TV for the first time.

The Chrysalis-owned station is promoting its Nick Ferrari At Breakfast show with an £800,000 campaign.

London stations are battling for market share following Chris Tarrant's exit from the breakfast show at 95.8 Capital FM. Capital and Heart 106.2FM are also running TV ads.

The LBC campaign broke on May 3 and runs for five weeks on ITV, Channel 4 and Five. Created by Vallance Carruthers Coleman Priest, the ad features Ferrari canoeing through a London Underground tunnel.
