MEDIA: Heart 106.2 plans to battle Capital with outdoor ads

Chrysalis Radio flagship station Heart 106.2 is escalating its battle with 95.8 Capital FM for the London breakfast audience with a £300,000 outdoor campaign promoting Heart breakfast DJ Jono Coleman.

Rajar figures for the first three months of this year revealed that Heart had added 38,000 listeners across all-time while Capital had dropped 47,000, although Capital claimed it had added 100,000 listeners to its revamped breakfast show.

The campaign, the first since Coleman's sidekick Emma Forbes defected to Capital, breaks on June 9 with 600 bus sides and 200 Tube six-sheets.
