MEDIA: The Guardian to support series of Tate exhibitions

The Guardian has joined forces with Tate and online bank Egg to become the media partner for a nine-month series of events at Tate Modern and Tate Britain.

The events, branded as The Tate and Egg Live project, showcase collaborations between leading figures in the arts.

In January, firework artist Cai Guo-Qiang will create a piece for Chinese New Year on the riverbank in front of Tate Modern. In February, composer Arvo Part and director Peter Sellars will collaborate with sculptor Anish Kapoor on a new work around his installation in the Turbine Hall of Tate Modern.

The Guardian will produce three eight-page pullouts in The Guide at three-month intervals, to highlights the forthcoming events. The Guide will also be distributed at Tate Britain and Tate Modern.

In return, The Guardian will be able to run exclusive editorial promotions.
