Its world news broadcasts will air daily between 9pm and 1am. The launch will double the channel's reach in the UK, adding 9m homes.

CNN will offer live coverage of the 20 January inauguration of US President-elect Barack Obama, including the inauguration parade. From 27 January, it will offer coverage of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
The channel currently broadcasts more than 50 hours a week from its European headquarters in London.
