Media: Carphone in live X Factor activity

Carphone Warehouse is to run a series of live promotions across its stores to support its continuing sponsorship of music talent show, The X Factor, which starts on ITV this weekend.

The activity will include X Factor competitions, promotions and live experiences.

The high-street retailer took on the sponsorship of the reality show last year, in a deal thought to be worth £20m over three years.

This year, which marks the fifth series of the show, sees the addition of Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole to the panel of judges.

Carphone Warehouse will also be running online competitions for fans of its X Factor Challenge. The activity allows users to make their own recordings of various songs on their mobile phone. These can then be uploaded onto the social networking site Facebook.
