Sky has launched its Sky Active service in Ireland and claims it is the country's first national interactive digital television service. The development means that from next year Sky's 255,000 Irish subscribers will be able to respond to interactive ads. They can play games such as Space Invaders, e-mail friends and family using Yahoo! and Talk21 and bet on sporting events using Sky Bet or Blue Square.
