Behind the velvet rope
Bitch is starting to feel all Christmassy, after hearing all the news from the Global Radio Jingle Bell Ball last weekend, held at London's O2 Arena.
The event, hosted by Global’s chief executive Stephen Miron and featuring Pixie Lott, Olly Murs and Bitch’s favourite, Rhianna, was attended by various media types. Chief among them was the newly crowned managing director of MediaCom, Claudine Collins, and the founder of recruitment firm The Lighthouse Company, Kathleen Saxton, who were spotted hovering suspiciously around the Pick 'n' Mix stall that had been put on to satisfy guests with a sweet tooth.
Bitch doesn't like to tell tales (much), but she was told that Ms Collins was seen not waiting for the attendant of the stall, and was spotted loading up her bag with lollies at one point (Bitch doesn’t believe that for a second).
Other celebrity guests included former Liverpool player Jamie Rednapp with his gorgeous wife Louise, who were given the "star" treatment in the VIP section. Well, Bitch says that. It turns out that Mr Miron thought he was a bit more of a "star" than them, placing them behind him as he sat in the front row to watch the action.
Not as bad as his "Dad dancing" to Rhianna, according to Bitch’s media insider on the scene.
It's not what you know...
Still in the world of radio, Bitch received news from GMG Radio this week about the true spirit of Christmas – nepotism.
According to the radio group, a university student who wrote a Christmas story in the hope of getting it aired on his student radio station is set to have his work narrated over Christmas on the GMG Radio station Smooth, by amongst others, John Cleese, Jeremy Clarkson and Twiggy.
Liam Anderson, 21, penned the festive tale 'The Witches Christmas' in a bid to gain experience on Kings College London’s student radio station where he is studying film.
What Smooth have slightly buried in this whole story is that Liam's father happens to be the producer of the Mark Goodier show on Smooth Radio, where the Christmas drama will be broadcast.
Well, any way you can get a leg up in media Liam darling…
Last Christmas, I gave you my heart
Back to the Christmas theme, and Bitch has finally found her ideal Christmas tune. For those of you who haven't seen it, Bitch is making her prediction for Christmas number one early this year.
No, it’s not the "Fix" Factor single from Amelia Lily (honestly, how can people write such a thing), but the festive single from Harry, Arg, Nanny Pat and the rest of the cast of Towie 'The Only Way Is Essex', the ITV2 must watch.
The cast have come together for a cover of the Wham classic ‘Last Christmas’.
Bitch is just sorry that hunky 'I'm A Celeb' runner-up Mark Wright isn't involved in the video, but he does get a mention. If the cold nights are getting to you Mark, now you're back in the UK, after your stint in the jungle, there's always a place by Bitch’s fire darling.
On that thought, Bitch is going to finish that box of mince pies.
Until next week, and remember, if you’re giving your heart away this Christmas, give it to someone special.
