Hobnobbing with the royals
Bitch was a lucky girl last night as she got to hang out with guys who are usually in uniform. Lined up at Battersea Power Station were several ex and current members of her majesty’s armed forces, all standing to attention, so to speak.
The military hunks, and some of you weedier media types, were out on force to support a very worthy cause, Walking For The Wounded, which helps raise funds for injured soldiers and their rehabilitation.
With a patron in Prince Harry, who unfortunately couldn't make the event, but with an appearance by other naughty royal, Zara Phillips (remember the tongue stud?) and old favourite Duran Duran making an appearance, it's safe to say that a good night was had by all.
Among the representatives from the media community were MPG Media Contacts head of trading Alan Brydon, Hurrell Mosely Dawson and Grimmer's Greg Grimmer, Mark Middlemas from UM London and ITV's new director of multi-platforms and partnerships, Simon Daglish, who is a founder at the charity.
The ball included a charity auction, but all the media boys missed out on the main prize though, the date with the gorgeous royal Phillips went for £8,000, and no one in media got anywhere near the winning bid.
Atkinson faces Olympic hurdle
Speaking of hunky men (not you Rich, Bitch is referring to the soldiers), outdoor company Clear Channel held an Olympic themed event on Tuesday evening at Portrait Restaurant, The National Portrait Gallery, for over 70 people from agencies, but it wasn't them that Bitch was all over, but hunky Olympian rower James Cracknell.
With some pecks envy Bitch is sure, Rob Atkinson, managing director of Clear Channel, introduced the double gold medallist. Slight mumblings about "spending more time in the gym", were the order of the day from Atkinson, according to sources at the event.
You can never have too much yellow
You should never apologise for too much charity, and we know you trading guys really have a heart of gold. Bitch is glad to report that when UM London win a client, they pull out all the stops. Today they went to great lengths to show their client, Marie Curie Cancer care that they are behind them 100%. Dressing up in the charity's key colour of yellow (Bitch is more of a powder pink girl), is UM London digital assistant Cat Caroll.
