Woss's wonga, waxing lyrical, tosser of the year

Woss's wonga boosted by ‘bitches'

To the Grosvenor House hotel and the NatMags staff awards, where Jonathan Ross was hosting.

And the Radio 2 presenter (who Bitch reckons probably wouldn't get out of bed for less than £20k) left the audience in no doubt why he was there: "Thanks for having me. I feel extremely wealthy to be here."

He was soon joined on stage by NatMags boss Duncan Edwards, who, Ross claimed, had described his staff to him as "his bitches".

And Ross was full of praise, too, for the NatMag stable, in particular Reveal 's "service to chavs", while he was also happy to offer his services as a cover star for Men's Health . "Eat your way to a 48-inch waist. It's what I did at Christmas."

The biggest applause was for his revelation that he'd previously compered a do at arch-rival Emap. "I never realised before that they did foie gras in buckets."

Waxing lyrical with the bosses

PHD's event to bring in media inventory for the Make Poverty History campaign was a major success, not least because the media owners faced an ambush at the hands of comedienne Ruby Wax to increase donations.

Among her first targets was Justin "Professor" Sampson. Her verdict: "They call you that because, before you got there, ITV was full of thick fuckers."

Then came Yahoo!'s Alison Reay, recovering from a dubious back injury, according to Wax. "I hope you're back on all fours soon."

And the Standard 's Mike Anderson wisely failed to show.

"I'll hunt him down – I hear he's a rich fucker," warned Wax.

One had the vague feeling that Bob Geldof didn't quite know what his audience did as he urged them to get behind the campaign "in whatever the fuck it is that you do – selling douches, or whatever."

Still, PHD's Tess Alps, had a theory of her own, trying to persuade Vicar of Dibley author Richard Curtis that she'd make a good replacement for Dawn French.

Tosser of the year is a woman

Bitch was most surprised to find that the winner of the Good Housekeeping "Tosser of the Year" award was a woman. In this picture, we see Leah Annett, press manager at Starcom Motive, showing off her wrist action with an impressive move between her legs. She won a weekend away for two in Wales at the Lake County House Hotels.

Annett, who's just made it on to MediaWeek's 30 Under 30 list, said: "From 30 Under 30 to Tosser of the Year, all in the same week! A seamless transition –my boyfriend will be so proud."
