Irish food company Ennis Foods has handed the pounds 2m media
planning and buying account for its new cereal brand, Rumblers, to BBJ
Media Services.
The pitch, against several undisclosed agencies, follows the appointment
of creative agency Mellors Reay. Other agencies bidding for the creative
account were Duckworth Finn Grubb Waters, FCB, TBWA GGT Simons Palmer
and incumbent through-the-line shop Media Connections.
Media Connections handled Rumblers’ initial launch in February,
including media planning and buying. Both agencies are working on a
Rumblers TV and press campaign to run before the end of the year.
Ennis, a new company based in the Republic of Ireland, is believed to
have plans to launch other food brands in the UK.
Rumblers, a cereal sold in individual pots with containers of milk and a
spoon, is competing against snack foods such as Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain
Cereal Bar.
