McDonald's nets Coke marketer

McDonald's has overhauled its UK marketing department with the appointment of Coca-Cola marketer Richard Robinson. The fast-food giant has split the position of head of national marketing - which will be held by Michael Scott until his departure in April - into adult and family roles.

Robinson takes the post of adult marketing manager, while head of media James Rennie takes responsibility for family marketing. Both will report directly to McDonald's UK chief marketing officer John Hawkes.

Robinson has worked since last July at Coca-Cola GB in the role of marketing manager for the McDonald's account.
