McDonald's "McDelivery ITV idents" by Leo Burnett London

McDonald's is hitting the small screen to sponsor movie nights on ITV.

The fast-food giant's McDelivery service has launched a cavalcade of cinematic spots inspired by Hollywood’s most popular films.

The campaign consists of eight 10-second parodies, including an explosive action flick, a tepid period drama, a daring space epic and a hard-hitting kung-fu flick  all of which take a prompt turn when a curly-haired McDelivery employee walks into shot.

The idents were created by Steph Ellis and Rory Hall (who were involved in Women’s Equality Party "Thank you Trump" and Temptations "Say sorry for the holidays"), and directed by Samuel Petursson and Gunnar Olafsson through Tantrum.

This marks the beginning of a two-year partnership between ITV and McDelivery, which is powered by Uber Eats, covering more than 1,200 films showing after 9pm.
