
Frymann joined McCann London on 8 June as a planning director on the beauty team, which looks after L’Oréal brands including Essie and Maybelline. He will report to Theo Izzard-Brown, the agency’s head of strategy.
Frymann worked at TBWA\London between 2005 and 2013. Before that, Frymann spent five years at TBWA\Manchester, where he was as a strategic analyst and planner.
Zaid Al-Zaidy, McCann London’s chief executive, worked with Frymann at TBWA\London. Al-Zaidy said: "I’m excited to work with David again. He comes equipped with razor-sharp intellect, creative nous and oodles of charm – a very attractive package for our beauty team."
At RKCR/Y&R, Frymann was the lead planner on Marks & Spencer’s fashion and homeware work. He was part of the "leading ladies spring/summer 2014" print and outdoor campaign featuring the actor Emma Thompson.
In addition to working in advertising, Frymann is the managing director of Fury, a luxury-shoe brand for women. He launched Fury in 2012 with the Swedish shoe designer Lisen Magnusson.
