Sebastien Boutebel and Jean-Laurent Py will report to the agency’s co-presidents and chief creative officers, Robert Doubal and Laurence Thomson.

Boutebel and Py will work on McCann’s Mastercard, Bisto, Vauxhall and Xbox accounts, as well as others.

Boutebel and Py have worked together as a creative team since 2006, when they were in Canada, first at Blueblancrouge and then Palm + Havas (now Havas Worldwide Canada).

After that, the pair spent a few months at Grey Paris together, before helping to launch independent French agency Herezie in 2010, where they were associate creative directors.

Their campaign for Amnesty International Turkey, creating an online platform allowing people to attend a virtual protest, in response to the Turkish police’s treatment of protestors at Taksim Square, was a finalist at the One Show Interactive in 2014.

Thompson said: "As soon as we saw their work we had to meet them, and as soon as we met them we knew we had to hire them."
