McCann on alert as TTA reviews its £3m media and creative

The Teacher Training Agency is reviewing its £3 million creative and media accounts.

McCann-Erickson Manchester handles the business, having won it from Delaney Lund Knox Warren & Partners in April 2000.

The TTA is also in talks with COI Communications about moving its media planning and buying account into COI's roster agencies. Universal McCann holds the account, but it is likely COI's roster buying agencies OMD UK, Starcom MediaVest and MediaCom will pick up the buying brief.

The creative account is being retendered through OJEC in accordance with the TTA's procurement rules. McCann Manchester's four-year contract expires in May 2004.

McCann Manchester has created two campaigns for the TTA. "Those who can, teach" ran for close to three years before being replaced in September with the "Use your head. Teach" campaign.

The TTA claims the recent campaign has delivered a 50 per cent increase in enquiries from people interested in teaching.
