McBride named creative director for TBWA North America

Chuck McBride, creative director of TBWA Chiat\Day San Francisco, has been promoted to creative director for North America prompting speculation that he is being lined up to take over as chairman-creative director of TBWA Worldwide, a role currently held by Lee Clow.

LONDON (Brand Republic) – Chuck McBride, creative director of TBWA Chiat\Day San Francisco, has been promoted to creative director for North America prompting speculation that he is being lined up to take over as chairman-creative director of TBWA Worldwide, a role currently held by Lee Clow.

As overall creative director, McBride will oversee the creative work of Chiat\Day’s offices in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York and Toronto, continuing his affiliation with brands such as Levi’s and Sony Playstation.

McBride came to Chiat\Day in 1999 from Wieden & Kennedy, where he had worked on Nike.

Clow is the US advertising creative director behind the award winning Apple Think Different among others.
