The official sponsorship launches in Maxim's November issue, with the Little Black Book, which offers readers the chance to date a girl from a selection of 101 "beautiful girls next door".
The girls all applied to appear in the book in order to have a chance at becoming a Maxim covergirl. Five newly formed couples will also have the opportunity to win a holiday to Cancun courtesy of Club 18-30 to celebrate the launch of its holidays in Mexico.
Dennis Publishing's creative solutions team negotiated the deal with Marc Jones, promotions manager of Club 18-30. The sponsorship will continue until spring 2005 and is worth £87,000.
Jessica Kopisk, promotions director at Dennis Publishing, said: "The synergy between Club 18-30's new direction and Maxim made this sponsorship deal a perfect partnership. Club 18-30 has evolved; it is listening to its guests providing tailored excursions from scuba diving to golf. In the same way, Maxim knows that everyone is different, the new direction for the magazine is that our readers need more -- there is a new generation with new expectations."
In the latest set of ABCs, Maxim suffered a 9.6% year-on-year fall in circulation to 227,017. However, it is hoping for a reversal in its fortunes following the recent arrival of Greg Gutfeld as its editor.
