Maude resigns from AOL UK

AOL UK's vice president of e-commerce Ian Maude has quit the company after five years to take an MBA.

The company will be looking to replace Maude, a member of the original start-up team, and will be recruiting for other senior positions as part of a restructure of its marketing team.

"AOL's membership is growing and the company as a whole is growing - we need to position AOL as a mainstream media player," said an AOL UK spokesman.

"There are tremendous opportunities from a marketing perspective and we'll be making a number of changes to our marketing department."
