Masius lands LSE advertising account.

Masius, D'Arcy's corporate and financial agency, has won the London Stock Exchange advertising account.

Masius, D'Arcy's corporate and financial agency, has won the London Stock Exchange advertising account.

The agency won the business in a pitch against three other agencies and will attempt to strengthen the LSE's position as Europe's leading equity market. The account was previously held by Doremus & Company.

Activity will start with an international press and outdoor advertising campaign later this month. This will support the move to internationalise two of the LSE's markets, AIM and techMARK. Media-Vest International will handle media planning and buying.

Damian McLaughlin, the head of marketing communications at the LSE, said: 'We chose Masius because it showed that it understands our brand personality. It produced high impact creative proposals.'

Meanwhile, Masius has strengthened its senior management team with the appointment of Catherine Gale to the new role as head of strategy and business development. Gale was previously a founder and deputy managing director of Grey Desire and the international business development director of Grey Direct. She was also the European marketing director of WCRS.

Gale's role at Masius will be to develop new business and agency strategy to take it forward following its rebranding from DMB&B Financial.

Andrew Porter, the chief executive of Masius, said: 'Not only will Catherine build our market profile, she will also lead our account planning team to bring our intellectual assets into line with our business strategy.'
