With a print run of 900,000 copies, Everyday Food features recipes for the "supermarket shopper" cooking everyday meals, and comes in the trendy handbag-sized.
Martha Stewart Omnimedia already publishes the lifestyle magazine Martha Stewart Living, as well as special magazines themed around Christmas and weddings. The new title will tie in with Martha Stewart's television programme, and there will be an Everyday Living site at and a range of basic cooking utensils to be sold under the name Martha Stewart Everyday label at Kmart in the US.
Sharon Patrick, president and chief executive officer of MSO, described the new magazine as a "survival guide for weekday cooks".
"The official launch of Everyday Food illustrates the authority that the brand commands in cooking and entertaining," she added. "That authority is built on more than a decade of providing consumers thoroughly researched, high-quality information, inspiration and products, turning them from 'dreamers into doers'."
Stewart stepped down from the chairman and CEO role at MSO earlier this month after being charged with fraud and conspiracy of the sale of shares in the company ImClone. She has protested her innocence, both on a website, and through an advertising campaign.
The allegations surrounding her share dealing have lead to many jokes about Stewart's next project focusing on decorating prison cells. She faces up to seven years in prison if found guilty.
