Everything Must Go! will pop up on Shoreditch High Street from 5-6 September. It will look at the next 25 years of shopping by taking consumers on a journey into the future of retail.

The experience will provide a guided tour of a world in which personal data is the new currency, consumers have the ultimate purchasing negotiating power and companies have evolved into so-called concierge brands, delivering personalised experiences rather than just a product.

The space will give visitors an insight into the future of shopper behaviour, using the age-old model of 'the marketplace' - highlighting the importance of retail as a multi-facetted experience.

The activity is based on three pieces of research carried out by The Marketing Store – The Future of Shopping, The Emotional Shopper, and The New Definition of Childhood – the results of which will be brought to life through a variety of media channels, interactive exhibits, interviews and talks.

Cameron Day, business development director at the Marketing Store, told Event the company decided to create a physical store to best bring to life the findings of its research and encourage debate around it.

"We are showcasing all of the key elements, running seminars and we also have some specific products that we are offering to brands that are linked to our findings and applying them to their businesses," he said.

"We really hope everyone who attends gets excited by what is in store and it helps clarify within a very confused and cluttered retail world at the moment – what will continue to change and what will remain the same."
