Betty Crocker Yes. It's a good one - you can make an awful lot with it.
Then you can add things like ice-cream, bananas, nuts or maple syrup to the pancakes. There are lots of options. I have done a very nice savoury chicken filling (gives recipe). You can use mixed vegetables in a cheese sauce, or white sauce, and put it in the oven. It's very filling.
Mktg Can I get Bisquick from any supermarket?
Betty Crocker I get it from my local Asda. I use it all the time. Let's have a look: you can buy it in Asda, Tesco, Co-op and Waitrose.
Mktg Also, I'm having a birthday party for my five-year-old niece. Do you have any mixes for children's cakes and biscuits?
Betty Crocker Well, with Bisquick you can make scones, you can add chocolate chips, you can make rock cakes. We do a very good Chocolate Fudge Brownie mix and really easy chocolate-chip cookie mixes, and a Devil's Food Cake mix and Wild Blueberry Muffin mix.
Mktg Are those mixes available at the same supermarkets?

VERDICT
The call-handler's customer service skills were faultless: she was friendly, extremely knowledgeable and showed a genuine passion for cooking and Betty Crocker products. She was also expertly informed on particular baking practises and keen to give her own cooking tips, such as the savoury pancake filings.
My only qualm is that she did not suggest that I visit the Betty Crocker website, which has lots of recipes, tips and entertainment ideas.
