What is your greatest work achievement?
The creation of a new brand for Cafedirect's premium instant coffee 5065. It was launched a year ago and is now the fastest growing brand in the freeze-dried category, up by 21%.
What would be your dream brand to work on and why?
Wedgwood because it has plenty of heritage and yet manages to evolve and remain contemporary through its work with designers. I love the Jasper Conran collection.
What would you do if you were not in marketing?
I would live in the south of France and run a holiday company.
Which is the best agency that you have worked with?
It's the people you work with who make a difference. I work with amazing teams at CBH, Fatbeehive, host and Leadbetter PR.
What is the best part of your job?
Making a difference to the lives of one million farmers and their families around the world. Turnover grew by 29% last year so we can purchase even more coffee, tea and cocoa under Fairtrade terms in 2003.
What is the worst part of your job?
Hearing dismissive people say 'Cafedirect is niche'.
What was your most embarrassing mistake?
Muddling English and French phrases up on occasions.
What was your best work-related trip?
A trip to Chiapas, a coffee growing region in Mexico, where I saw with my own eyes the difference Fairtrade makes to farmers' lives.
Who is the business person you most admire and why?
Rose Marie Bravo, for having turned round the fortunes of Burberry so dramatically.
